Pond Startup & Shutdowns

RikRock offers numerous services to make the enjoyment of your RikRock Water garden even greater and hassle free.

A basic start-up consists of:

	Install pump in skimmer box
	Check water levels
	Inspect for settling and leakage
	Start up dose of Beneficial Bacteria

A basic shut down consists of:

	Disconnect pump and drop to bottom of pond
	Trim back all aquatic plant materials
	Turn on Aerator & install pond deicer

A pond clean out consists of:

	Full drain of pond
	Store fish in covered containers with aerators
	Full power wash of rocks, sides and bottom gravel
	Lighting is checked and bulbs replaced
	Prefitters are cleaned, inspected and replaced if necessary
	Pond is filled and started
	After one full day of pond operation fish are returned to pond
